The plant family Nyctaginaceae was named and described by Antoine Laurent de Jussieu in Genera Plantarum in 1789.
As of 12-21-23 when this page was last updated, Plants of the World Online lists 31 genera in the family commonly known as the Four O’Clock Family.
The only species I am familiar with in this family so far is the wildflower Mirabilis nyctaginea (Wild Four O-Clock) that grows on the farm south of town where a good friend lives. You can click on the name to go to its own page.
