The Myrtaceae Family was named and described by Antoine Laurent de Jussieu in Genera Plantarum in 1789.

As of 1-3-23 when this page was last updated, Plants of the World Online lists 126 accepted genera in this family commonly known as the myrtle family.

I grew two Corymbia citriodora (Lemon Eucalyptus) while I was living at the mansion in Mississippi. You can click on the name to go to the plant’s own page.
