Plants of the World Online lists three accepted genera in this family. Genera include Gelsemium (3 species), Mostuea (10 species), and Pteleocarpa (1 species). Gelsemium and Mostuea were formerly in the family Loganiaceae while Pteleocarpa was in its own family, Pteleocarpaceae.
